Our Process

Step 1: Your treatment provider will clean and sanitize the treatment area to ensure no debris or makeup is left at the site.

Step 2: The chemical solution is mixed and applied to the treatment area. Depending on the concerns, multiple layers of the solution can be applied.

Step 3: Once the treatment is complete, your provider will neutralize the solution, moisturize the treated area and add a physical sunscreen to protect the skin.

Step 4: You may experience some redness post treatment. Approximately 2 days after your treatment, the post-peel skin reaction will begin. You may notice some light fluffing and skin dryness followed by a rejuvenated appearance 5-7 days post treatment.

Are Chemical Peels for everyone?

Chemicals peels are a safe treatment for all skin types and tones.Whether you’re a first timer or a regular user. While it is strong compared to other skin treatments, the positive effects after the treatment can be dramatic.

How many chemical peel treatments will I need?

The frequency of chemical peel treatments depends on your skin’s condition. Two chemical peel treatments spaced 3-4 weeks apart is recommended, to be followed by maintenance treatments. 3 chemical peels every year is generally enough to maintain the clarity of your skin.

Is there any post care for chemical peels?

You have just received an AlumierMD Skin Treatment. Due to the nature of these treatments, you should not necessarily expect to “peel”. However, you may have light to moderate flaking in a few localized areas for 3 to 7 days. You may also experience residual redness, which lasts in most patients from 1 to 12 hours. It is recommended that you do not apply makeup the day of the treatment. It is ideal to allow the skin to stabilize and rest overnight. However, makeup can be applied, if necessary. Tonight your skin will feel tight and “pulled”. Although you may or may not actually “peel”, it is likely that you will experience a light “exfoliation”. It may take 2 or more treatments to target the deeper layers of skin to loosen and “peel”.
